A rare and early Tubatulabal ceremonial hat

woven in a polychrome decoration of red and black stacked arrowheads, from the base to the top. Also adorned with red wool striped lines between each design of arrowheads, going around the hat, to the top. This women's coiled cap, shows a more conical appearance of the Central California style, in contrast to the more rounded Northern California caps.
